Do you know what is Neda ?
Neda is a river in Peloponnesos and one of the few rivers in Greece with a female name. In Greek mythology Neda was a nymph who took care of Zeus when he was taken away from his father to avoid being slaughtered.
The water and the river are ancient symbols, signifying force and endurance, but also to adaptability and continuous flow. Hence the significance of Neda for the musicians, carrying the power of the female element to embrace difference as the water connects and naturally renews all things, linking past and future time into the present moment – where all sounds exist & all music is created.
